Feeding heucheras

I've been reading that these plants can do better if you don't feed them at all, so what do you guys think.

I think its wrong , I grow all of mine in pots and they need re-potting each spring (fresh compost) and I use a general feed thats mixed in the water and they will look great , if you neglect they will show it , if you have two the same feed one and leave the other you will soon start to feed.

Mine get fed chicken poop and a monthly liquid feed.
They seem to appreciate it.

 

Well I don't keep chickens, so which liquid feed to I choose? there is just too much choice at the garden centre it is bewildering to say the least!!!

Chicken manure pellets @Val.. Seaweed extract or phostrogen I use which ever is on offer

 

I've already got phostrogen!!! so that's the one then, Thank you!!

Here mine plum pudding, palace purple and caramel.

 

WOW, gorgeous!!! I have only just planted mine, the first lot I planted my cat dug them up and decided that spot was his toilet!!! I have planted them in tubs this time!!!!

@Val.. which ones do you have , the other one is called "Autumn leaves " I think I have about 7 or 8 different ones , I love them I know @ARMANDII doesn't why I dont know

they have great flowers and the bumblebee love them and I like the flowers and the leaves
