Good morning @Jenny namaste my good friend yes because in my humble opinion Felco are the best they will looked after last you a lifetime, made in Switzerland Once you've used a Felco secateurs you wonder why you put up with the cheaper alternatives. The design gives your hand many times the leverage power than when using inferior quality secateurs. It slices effortlessly through live or dead wood and its spring is powerful, and responsive. Being a Swiss design all the components are replaceable and like a Swiss Army Knife the philosophy is this is a tool for life.Model 2 are the smaller ones just right for a lady, model 8 are for larger hands:smile:

        • Comfortable, lightweight, sturdy aluminium alloy handles
        • High quality hardened steel blades, forged aluminium alloy handles, wire cutting notch
        • Anvil blade with sap groove, rubber cushion shock aborbers
        • For a medium to large hand, right Handed
        • Lifetime guarantee, all parts replaceable

ps my original pair are 55 years old:smile:

Sorry to butt in....but LBS Horticulture used to sell the Felco range much more cheaply than other retailers. I've no idea if this is still the case, but it might be worth a look at their site.

Good morning @Jenny namaste my friend well they do seem expensive to most people but when you divide £38 by 30 years + its only pennies per per year;) where as you could get some for £10 and then keep spending £10 every year.;) that's how I see it anyway:smile:

Felco is recognised as best in the world but, 2 things.....I am always losing my secateurs and I'm constantly breaking them ( my fault, I use them on thick wood, wire etc.) A new pair seems to be an annual purchase for me :noidea:

                        Another Felco fan here.

I've had a pair of 8's for about 20 years and they have seen a lot of action. I strip and clean them once a year and they work as well as the day I bought them.

I bought my wife a pair of 6's about 8 years ago and she loves them.

Ha you two.!! So do we have sheriff and deputy here then @Verdun and @wiseowl...

I had to go and look to see what number ones I have and I have a pair of #2s which I had first, then I got a pair of #7s(the swivel ones) I wouldn’t be without either of them.. They are both cleaned and sharpened each year and are as good as ever..
