    Hi guys,

I have a quick beginner question about my fern, it's planted around my fishpond, unfortunately most of the leaves have gone brownish/blackish. Can I just trim it and will it come back next year in spring?

    Thanks a lot,
    Anne

Anne just cut it down to ground level. It should come back next year without too much trouble.

I thought you had to leave the fronds so it would protect the crown from frost. YES/NO ??
