Finally Got One....

.....for many years, every since seeing a mature specimen in full flower I've wanted an Edgeworthia chrysantha shrub to add to my collection, its been something of a holy grail for me. I know its not that difficult to track one down but they've always been so expensive, many places selling them at £40-£50+ for large specimens fair enough or smaller specimens for around £15-£20 plus hefty packaging costs. I've always be happy to bide my time though until I came across one in a nursery or garden centre at a reasonable price, then on a visit to see my parents in Cheshire we visited a local farm shop and there sat amongst the roses were 4 fairly large specimens in 10lt pots, in perfect health, good shape and covered in flower buds and only £19.99 - I coudn't resist, it was left at my parents until they visited today (it wouldn't fit in the car then), I now have my Edgeworthia and the first flower is just about to open, perfect timing
