I've finally got around to sorting out my photo's and I never imagined it would be such a big job!

I've begun moving them all off flickr to Photobucket as flickr now limit unpaid accounts to viewing only 200 of your latest photo's (useless...) so I'm going to be very busy tagging and sorting all 1085!! :rolleyespink:

oh and my upload speed is only 30-40kb/s it's going to take hours:hate-shocked:

    Wish me luck!

Can you not keep them on an external hard drive? Often I see the red cross as in my signature when browsing the www.

If you buy an external hard drive and backup to that you'd still have your files if your PC crashes and you could set it up to do automatic backups 'on the fly' so that as soon as you save a file on the PC it gets copied onto the external drive. It's a lot less hassle than using on-line image file storage and more or less instant.
I use a 1TB drive as backup for specific folders and I've also a 500gb drive that I use to create an image of my whole system every week or so.

Even with our reasonably fast (7Mbs) internet connection I couldn't upload all the photos I take as I average about 5000 large file size photos per year. I don't of course keep them all!!

1TB external drives can now be found for well under £100 and 500GB ones for a bit over £50.
