I am told that this is not a good year for sweet peas- [wait for the avalanche of pics from members with beautiful flowers]. Mine have buds showing, were sown late march. But better late than never:)

Every autumn I tell myself I should be sowing my sweet peas but never get around to it. So I'm still waiting for the first flower from my spring sown peas. Maybe this year...

I'm glad it's not just me! usually I am lucky with sweet peas but not this year!
I sowed some towards the end of last year which appeared really strong and healthy, planted them out and got just a few flowers quite early. Also I planted some that I bought in the spring and have just had about 8 flowers and that's it!

So definately a bad year for me anyway!

Lol I'll join the sweetpea moaners :D
Mine have just started to bud up you can really tell the difference from last year's plants although I must confess my plants are from our own seeds collected last year so that could be one of the problems.Hel.xxx.

Supposed to... total assortment.... I am having this problem with nasturtiums this year.... grrrrrrr.

Still no flowers from my sp. In Italy it was so hot in summer that they were mummified before they could bloom, I hoped to finally see a sp bloom now (I NEVER HAVE!!) but nope, they are just snoring on their stick. But I spied a bud today, so I am hopeful.
