In my deepest, darkest part of Kent, we had ours last Saturday (15th) - the early morning sound of cars being scraped was followed, a few hours later, by the sound of lawn mowers whirring and later still, since it had been such a nice day, the air was filled with the smell of a neighbour's barbecue!

We were down to 0C by 9pm last night.
This morning was still white with frost after 8am. The sun is out now but its still chilly outside.
      Winters on its way.:help:

Exactlty the same for me on Saturday, all my crops frosted in around sunrise and later in the day near Bedford 28 deg C on the car thermometer. No visible sign of frost this morning but 2.5 dec C sometime overnight on my patio.

The simple answer is, you don't need to do anything. The fruit may be 'delicate' but the plants are tough as old boots. Just remove any rotting leaves (those that remain will afford the plant some protection) and let 'em get on with it.

They may, like mine become alternately frozen solid, waterlogged and dried out but they'll bounce back.
