First of the Pleiones!

My first Pleione of the year is open and it is deformed!!!!!

The upper petal on one side has grown inside the lip............

 

That's a shame Longk, but it's still very pretty.

 

Plenty more to come Sheal.
They are the first real highlight of the year for me

 

Gosh, mine are still dormant bulbs.

Had a look at my pseudobulbs this afternoon, good and firm and no sign of rotting, but no sign of growing either.

 

Mine were in a drawer in the garage when I found them shooting Palustris. The Bletilla on the shelf poked through a couple of weeks ago too!

Photo taken last night as the pot starts to fill.

 

Still no signs of growth on mine, moved them into the greenhouse to see if the extra warmth will help.
