Fishbone cactus flowers again

    My Disocactus anguliger is flowering again. Whilst the blooms are of somewhat wishywashy colour, the scent is lovely and the excitement of seeing the flower slowly opening at night is brilliant.

    Flower number one is fading but the second one might open tonight. 5 buds in total. :)

      That's wonderful ! I bought one last year and am hoping it will flower one day.

          @Selleri stunning flower, I’ve got one growing from a cutting, took for ever to root, but over the last 3 weeks a new shoot appeared, it’s thriving now :yes:

            Mine is now on its third year, last year we got one single flower.

            What I like about leaf cacti is that they are so easy as houseplants. They don't need a cool winter rest and tolerate normal living room conditions very well.

            My boss was also quite amused when I explained the reason for me looking a bit tired on an 8am meeting. No, no kids holding me up all night nor pets with tummy problems. A matter of a cactus opening a flower that might last just one night :biggrin:
