My four wanted to say hello - it is the first time I have actually managed to get a pic of them! Two comets and two shabumkins.

Let's see all your fish too ;)

Love the fishy pictures and how clear the water both of you!

I bought 7 fish, shabumkins, Italian gold fish (My poor Florence she was my favourite sadly attained a negative life syndrome some two years ago).

Well they all bred like mad, I have offered them to friends but no one can catch them. There were masses of pin sized fish of a real mixture. This year I cut the feeding right down and I think the big ones have eaten the little ones, but hopefully not the frogs of which there were masses this year - and how do you stop the lawn mower from mashing them all from round the edge of the pond?

Thanks - the water has finally cleared again after the last hot spell ;) Sorry to hear about your fish that got sick :( I think my fish have been breeding because they chase each other and hang around the others rear end... I guess eating the babies as they drop out?

I am just picturing lawnmower mashed frogs - not a pretty site [IMG] [IMG]

That first photo is excellent GP!

I must admit to being envious of all of you with fish in your ponds. We finally had to give up as the heron kept inviting himself to a free lunch.

Yes Gilly unfortunately they do eat frogs they hassle the big ones until they drown then as they decompose they eat them, there are 5 white koi 2 Ginmatsuba, 2 Doitsu 1 Ogon and one red/blue Goshiki there is also 1 Golden Orfe.
Koi are very greedy fish and will eat anything.
