Flea Beatle

    Planted some Brussels and cabbage on Satuaday on the allotment , Been away visiting family for a couple of days , checked them this evening and they have been heavily attacked by Flea Beatles .Any advice welcome ...:help:

    Once they get into a crop the only thing that works for me is chemicals I'm afraid to say.

    Hi John .
    I'm not opposed to chemicals so they will have to be zapped ,I have plants at home (probably 1 mile away) and they are fine ...Any recomendations as what works best ??

    I use Derris powder but I understand that's been taken off sale now. If you don't have any then something based on Pyrethrum might do the trick (eg PY Insect Killer Powder) - you might have to re-apply to keep them under control because thats not as strong as Derris.
