Hi all. Does anyone know of a way of ridding a garden of flea beetles, or limiting their impact? I have tried yellow traps but know of nothing else. I understand they don't like shade, but it doesn't stop them liking anything vaguely resembling a crucifer in the shade!

I used to use malathion, but I dont think thats available anymore.
One of the reasons I've given up growing most veg, the pests are now taking over, although the farmers are still using all sorts of chemicals, we cant. :( [IMG]

I can't bring myself to use it, or dimethoate. Pesky little blighters have a field day in my gardens. BTW this year I've had fewer pests than ever, and others are saying the same. It's not my saintly green/organic halo defending me from them, don't know what it is but a year off spraying is magic. I just hope it continues. Even the lupin aphids, solomons seal sawfly, and philadelphus blackfly have gone. Mebbe its the cheap property in Bulgaria that's tempted them abroad?
