I have recently dug over an area in my garden and a cat has taken to using it as its loo.

Tips on how to stop this would be much appreciated.

Deep heat on teabags is a good one thats been mentioned around here. Put these on your bed, they decompose, and give the cats a little sting when they use your "toilet".

It's the newly dug earth they like. When I first 'moved over' from an English garden to exotics and dug everything out I had problems with my next door but one's 5 cats who thought it was lovely. Now I'm more planted up they don't bother so much but my next door neighbour between us was delighted the other day when one went into her house and **** in her daughter's bed. Maybe they don't like my spiky plants now (I hope they don't). Beds are far softer than flower beds.

I should imagine squating on your Puya John would be the first and last time any cat would try.

If you see the cat, try zapping it with one of those super-dooper water rifles. ;)

No cajary. That is cruel. Just buy a bedful of puyas. They don't like it up 'em. ;)

Getting a cat wet is cruel  I'll have to give my moggie a severe talking to. She walks about in the rain then comes and sits on my lap to dry herself, in the process, she makes me soaking :D
