Flowering Leek - is this bad?

    I have grown leeks for three years and this is the first time I've ever seen one forming what looks like a flower bud. Is this bad?

    I take it this is from seed you sowed this spring? If so that's very bad.

    Yes, I have been growing from seed. So far it's just the one out of about 50. Do I just pull it and toss it?

    If it's developing a flower stem it will have a hard, woody core inside and be inedible.
