Flowering shrub

Any ideas please for flowering shrubs,about 4 to 5feet tall.

 

Well Layla, there are hundreds to choose from. Where will it be-sun or shade, do you want evergreen ordeciduous.

 

Prefer evergreen,it will be in sun...

 

Ceanothus Concha (Californian Lilac)

 

How about Choisya ternata 'Sundance',

Loads of good ones there,

eleagnus is good for sun too, there are some azaleas (Indian???-anyone?? not sure) that tolerate full sun .

Lavatera is lovely, but it does lose its leaves in winter.

 

Hebes, Japanese Azaleas, Daphne odora, Daphne Mezereum, Sarcoccoca and Erysimum. All easy to grow and look after:gnthb:

 

It also grows like the clappers, to add my thoughts

How about hibiscus syriacus. Not evergreen but a tidier plant than lavatera.
