Flowers on my saffron crocus?

Hello. They're in their first year and have only produced 'leaves'. Wondering if this is normal.

small corm , will hopfully flower next year when it has built up more energy how many did you plant and were they diffrent sizes , and when did you plant them

Probably a bit late. September(ish), I think. Yes, all the same size, quite a few.

 

hopfully one will flower , have you planted in a sunny spot well drained as the corms will realy appreciate this and this will aslo help ripen the corm to flower next year
