Folly

The first picture is taken from Douglas Head looking down on the outer harbour and bay. Our one and only elusive ship the Ben-My-Chree (pronounced Ben-Mer-Cree) in dock. We have two sea cats running during the summer months as well.

In the distance, in the bay, you can see the Folly that was built on the rock after a shipping disaster there many years ago. The 'fort' can be reached at low tide on foot at certain times of the year.

 

Now you've done it Sheal, Folly Mon will be flooding his garden to build one of those.

 

You're probably right Ziggy, I don't think I'm going to be in Mrs. Folly Mon's good books.

No Penny there's no bridge to the IoM.

I hope there never will be, we don't want all the riff-raff over here! Not that I'm referring to my fellow friends on here of course. Risked my neck saying that, didn't I.

 

Watch out Sheal, they got one over to Skye!

 

But Skye's part of Scotland Strongy. If we had one here you'd probably need a passport.

I shouldn't think building a bridge over the Irish Sea is high on the agenda either, it's bad enough getting shipping across it.

You mean that none of the Bens will sail, you could thumb a lift with the Ben Varrey as it come past through to Silloth or Sea forth

And speaking of my list of castles......i cant find it now, it was saved to my favorites and its gone
