Fonzie's awful attempt at water colour painting!

    Had a go at painting in water colour! Oh dear!

    I really like the moon painting, the intensity of the blue sky, and the scratchy reflections on the bark, very well rendered. Something in it reminds me a painting from a favouriter painter of mine, Theodor Kittelsen:

    There a damn sight better looking than my attempts! saying that drawing/painting has never been my thing, although hand me a wad of paper and about 15min later you have a dozen origami roses, about the only thing I'm any good at:hehe:

    Fonzie, I like your moon picture, it has the most important ingredient.....atmosphere!

    Also good balance and composition. Keep going!

    Thanks for the compliments. I have no idea what makes a good painting, but the mention of 'atmosphere' concerning the moon picture, I can understand. When I look at it, I feel as if I can almost sense the temperature there being chilly. Thanks again all, most appreciated.
    Might stir me on to do some more!
