Dear Santa I would really like a bike for xmas and I have seen one for sixty pounds. Unfortunately I dont have a dad and we are very poor, as my mum is very sick and cannot work. Do you think you could send sixty pounds to me so I can buy the bike myself. On reaching the post office the letter had somehow fallen open. It was noticed and then read by one of the postal workers. Upset by the letter organised a whip round, but only managed fifty quid which they sent on to little johnny. A few days after xmas another letter arrived at the post office, on recognising the hand writing the same worker read the letter.

Dear Santa thankyou for the fifty quid, i'm sure you sent the sixty I asked for. It was probably those thieving b'stds at the post office that nicked the other tenner.
