I have a very bedraggled Pieris Forest Flame in a pot and I have to admit to not looking after it as I should have - shame on me! When it had full foliage it was very top heavy in the pot and strong winds would constantly blow it over and I think it lay on its side last winter for quite a long time.

As you can see from the photo, there is still some new growth on it along with a lot of dead wood. If I cut out the dead sections, re-pot it in new ericacious compost and give it a good feed do you reckon it would flourish again or should I just bin it and buy a new one?

I agree with Pete, and as you said, tidy it up and repot it and see how it comes on.

Thanks for the replies. I'll do a re-pot and feed and see how we get on. It's one of my favourite shrubs and would like to try and get some life back into it. This photo is from just a couple of years ago.
