I have a few Forest Flames (grown from cuttings) and they have got a mixture of white flowers and red leaves - do I cut off the white flowers when they have finished or leave everything alone? Any suggestions will be gratefully received.

I cut the flower heads off, and only prune to tidy up leggy bits. They're looking lovely all round here just now! :D

I like removing the spent flower heads. Not only do they look bad but it sometimes impedes the new growth from coming out. They seem to bloom much better when they they are dead headed.

Thanks for all your replies, really apppreciate your pictures whis4ey! I seem to have half the plant with white flowers and the other half with red leaves and if I remember rightly I cut off the dead flowers last year but can't remember which side I dead headed (I'll have to do the whole plant this time and make a note of which one - oh the joys of old age!)

Does anyone ever give them liquid feed and if so which one? tomato, general or ericacteous?
