I've just found a bag containing 50 miniature gladioli and some allium, which all came free with something and I neglecte to plant!
Any use planting now, and if not, will they keep until next year?
    I haven't grown either before.

I would plant both now,as any delay will lose the chance of at least getting something out of them.
Put them somewhere warm, to start them off growing not forgetting to water them from now onwards. You might not get any flowers on the gladioli, but then again you might if this warm weather keeps up.Its the same with the alliums.

If you leave the gladioli and not plant them, the corms will start to shrivel as they dry out and will gradually wither to nothing.

They won't last until next year, and will probably rot over the winter.

Nothing ventured Nothing gained as they say...

Good Luck, let me know how they go.
