forgotten the name of my new plant!

Idiot that I am, when I chose the healthiest looking plant to buy on Saturday, I also managed to choose the one that did not have a name tag! I know that it is not a penstemon, but I don't know what it is! Can you help?

Could it be a Fuchsia of some kind?

 

Flowers are not right shape for Fuchsia.
It is a Penstemon... there are many named cultivars.

Stupid me... in such a rush this morning made very bad error.
Knew it began with P.. got wrong one.
...it is of course Phygelius.

Don't worry, I thought the same when I first saw it, and was corrected. Between us we would have got there, as when I heard the name, I hear the "f"!

 

Try googling Funfare Wine Sian.

 

I have one,(bought last year), got some cuttings from it, though my plant is an orangey red colour. I thinks its a lovely fuchsia.

 

Don't be worried about forgetting a plant name, it's when you forget your own that you need worry.
