Found just under the soil

    there were a few weeds in a large planter and as i was taking theem out i found this!!!!!!!

    Yes it works. I get that on the surface of older compost and soil in pots. I don't think it does any harm to the plant, except to tell me to top up the pot with fresh compost. I get it on pots that are in shade more than in sun.

    It's called liverwort.. a primative mossy plant... just scrape it off!

    Yep harmless. I have it growing in the gaps in my dry stone wall, can be attractive there.... :wink:

    Harmful on seed pots though as it stops seeds from germinating.
