Free evening primrose

Hi. Anybody want some evening primrose seed? Let me know if you do 'cos once you've got some you are set for life. They seed like crazy and are ready now. I shall post next week or the week after when they have dried and I can take them from the pods.

It is wonderful to sit on the verandah and listen to the plantation workers singing in the twilight and the pop, pop, pop, of flowers bursting out, to the sound of the slurping of mint julep. Actually they are pretty pretty, y'all.

The only trouble is, if you don't want them looking a bit ragged you must deadhead regularly, preferably every day. But you can get the plantation workers to do that for you. OK honey chile?

Paula. You are already on the list. You will get so many that you will never need evening primrose oil again. Just chew the seeds. (That's probably about 45) See my PM about digitalis.

 

... and ag, if you want the pink version which blooms in the daytime ... it's another runaway weed you are welcome to. :D Problem is, I haven't seen the seed pods and been as lucky as John before they "pop". :eek:
