This is such a good offer I hope it's OK to post in 2 places. This catfood is 'try me free' and it only costs a max of a 2nd class stamp to get your money back (might also be refunded, but not guaranteed). http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/the-supermarket-savings-thread.48637/page-9#post-843863

With the £1.50 cashback from Quidco as posted here http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/the-supermarket-savings-thread.48637/page-9#post-843863 that makes it a nearly £1 profit for getting 6 cans of catfood to donate to a cat charity

We don't have a cat, so have bought 2 packs (separate receipts required), claimed 2 'try me frees' (2 separate addresses required) and claimed £3 Quidco cashback (2 accounts required). There's a Cat Protection donations drop off point in the village so no other costs.

As a Cats Protection volunteer may I express thanks for donating the food? :)

We also send off for free samples (normally pouches) and donate those, plus we're members of Pets at Home VIP club https://vip.petsathome.com/ClubLogin.aspx and occasionally get vouchers for free cat food (you have to say you've got cat(s) when registering).

This year we have also been picking blackberries & damsons for people in exchange for donations to Cat Protection. All it costs us is a little of our time.

We recently won an online competition for a £30+ bag of cat food which we have donated to our village's Xmas cat charity food donation appeal (as we don't have a cat, but could probably attract one quite easily with that 4Kg bag of cat food!).

Here's how to get free 400g packs of cat food https://offer.royalcanin.co.uk/rc/catsample/en/, one per email address (we've got 50+ accounts) according to the T&C, the vouchers are posted to you and take about a week, so multiple emails per address are worth a try.

Locating a local supplier to specify for collection from the masses of 'pins' on the map is a bit difficult at first, but once you've zoomed in, all subsequent applications for more free cat food take you straight to your local area.

Hoping this helps anybody wanting to support their local cat charity.

Picked up our latest packets of free cat food yesterday, 1 for somebody who's looking after some feral cats and another donation to Cat Protection. It didn't cost us anything apart from some of our time, and another example of how to support charities without parting with scarce cash. It also in a small way helps support a local independent hardware/pet/general/gardening/homebrew store a few doors from Wilkos.

Going off topic, but before I forget to mention it elsewhere, another way of supporting charities without it costing you anything is when you notice the ATMs at Tesco are giving a donation for every print out is to stick your card in, get a printed balance enquiry, select 'another service', get another print out, select another service, get another ....... etc., etc. and you'll have achieved multiple charitable donations FOC.
