I am offering my services free to a country house or park. I am a highly experienced and qualified groundsman, who requires experience of horticultural practices in a country house or park. Please get in touch for a discussion.

Contact the National Trust, they always welcome volunteers.

TBH though, If your qualified and more importantly actually know your stuff then you should have no problem finding work especially if yove got chainsaw and spraying tickets.

Ive often thought about going down the route of 'day gardener' employed in one garden but prefer the job security and variety that selfemployment brings.

One other factor is the money, horticulture is in general undepaid and the averadge salary seems to be 18K the best ive seen was £25k and supervising a team.

Frankly selfemployed I do better than this and am able to pick and chose my work.

Anyway good luck and welcome to the forum
