I'm really sorry to post this but this just showed up on my news feed and thought I'd share it with you just in case someone has got one in their garden. The design is flawed and birds are getting stuck in them.

it's really upsetting :( again sorry.

:frown: Oh how dreadful Pam:grphg: and here was you trying to do your best to help the wildlife. if you know the manufacturer or failing that where you bought the feeder from I would maybe send them an email with the photo.
That old expression of "no good deed goes unpunished" is ringing in my ears. I have a bird feeder thingy on a tall pole and luckily my 2 horror Birmans (cats) have failed miserably when trying to climb the (pole) little sh1ts for trying! I don't think my bird feeder is visited as much since we got the 2 additions to the family and I can't blame birds from not being so keen when 2 sets of pearcing blue eyes might be watching them.
Very good idea to do this post to warn others.

Silu, sorry but I think you got confused..this picture was on my news feed on facebook, a few people who commented on the original picture have said they have reported it and the company said they knew and still haven't recalled them :frown: I have wrote a review on amazon to try and warn people. My cats are absolute t***s when it come to birds too but thankfully left my chickens alone so far.

Oh sorry @Linz must have had a senior moment twit me. Glad you have done your best to warn others not to use this deathtrap for birds. It would certainly help if Amazon withdraws it. Just about everybody seems to buy everything from Amazon!

Looking at it, if the feeder was full and toped up, it may not be a problem, did the bird get in through the top, if so a top would be needed to be fitted to stop them getting in
