      Yeah, usually free postage means you pay over the odds for product I find.
      You can probably get most of the stuff at a decent garden centre, and make it a trip out, instead of looking at a screen all day.:biggrin:

      It seems you can't use the free P&P offer with another order code e.g. every 5th pack of seed free. And they've upped the price this week of some of the seeds that were on offer (presumably in non-pictorial packs). So OK, if they've got in one cheapish pack of something you fancy, but otherwise...

        I noticed that some seeds on special offer for £1.29 (reduced from £3.69) that I'd been watching and waiting for a free postage offer, now that P&P (worth about £1.90) is free have increased by £2.40 back to full price, so even with free p&p they have increased the price by:

        50p for 1 pkt :wallbanging:
        £2.90 for 2 pkts :wallbanging::wallbanging:
        £5.30 for 3 pkts :wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging:
        £7.70 for 4 pkts :wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging:
        £11.39 for 5 pkts (loss of multisave) :yikes: :wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging:

        Oh for the days of all the money off offers, codes and multisaves working together with free p&p, and if there was ever anything left to pay, using Tesco clubcard points at 4x value to buy T&M voucher codes. And those clubcard points were obtained by swapping cashback earnings (Topcashback) for points (with a +10% bonus), etc., etc.

        I wonder why they stopped all that sort of stuff? :scratch:

        I don't wish to suggest money isn't a problem, but in all honesty I give very little attention to special offers, BOGOF etc. At the end of the day, you end up saying. I only went in the shop to buy....at 10% off. I ended up spending a small fortune.

        My best friend, very astute when it comes to money matters. He will travel the extra mile to get £6 off his shopping, provide he spends £50 Terms and conditions apply. Reading through the list. Most of the usually purchased items are not included.

        Like with offers say from Sainsbury's. 200 extra points when you buy six packs of Top Cat, cat nibbles. So you go for it and some days later you ask yourself. Why the hell did I buy these cat nibbles. I haven't got a cat.
