This is a great way to waste away the hours - though you will be helping in a small way to gather rice to send to hungry people in poverty stricken places, so whilst having fun, learning/quizzing yourself with vocabulary, you are donating too! Win, win, win!

Hi Jarbax, you just got me into Mrs shiney bad books  . This thing is addictive. I promised to stop when I had reached level 50. Fortunately I knew that slumgullion was an American type of stew [IMG] and it got me to level 50. Unfortunately, I then said I wanted to get to level 51 [IMG] and she wasn't happy. After answering 9 of them at level 50 I still hadn't got to 51 but I got an ultimatum instead

So I decided that discretion was the better part of quizzing :D

What I can't understand is how do I go up a level as I have already got 530 grains of rice donated but it won't move up a level :(

    Hi Kandy

If you get an answer wrong it drops you down one or two levels and you have to work your way up again  I managed to get to level 50 with 800 grains but struggled from there. I stopped at a 1000 and am still on level 50 after getting a couple wrong

Wayhey - glad it's not just me enjoying this! I have yet to be elevated above level 40, but in the last day or so, musthave donated a good 5000 grains. I'm not about to go into the kitchen and start counting - but does anyone know roughly how much this is in volume? Have I donated enough for a decent meal yet?

It goes down when you get words wrong. It is totally frustrating but at least they don't steal rice back off you for wrong answers. Some of the words get very difficult when you reach level 73*

    Hi Jarbax,
5,000 grains would make a nice substantial meal - for one of Whiley's rats [IMG] :D

I would guess that it is something just over an ounce. Anyone going to check it out?

As I love my rice I would need a lot more than that [IMG] .

I just checked out how you get your level to increase. You need to get four correct to get to level 40. Then for the next five levels you need to get 3 correct each time. Once past there the amount you need to get correct increases - and you drop back down each time you get one wrong.

When I have more time I shall see whether I can break through to level 51 [IMG]

Thanks for your replys :D My problem was I got so absorbed in the count bit going up and down that I wasn't concentrating on the words, well that's my excuse and I am sticking to it [IMG] :D

Dee we will prove to them that we can go higher even though we are blonde, though silly me never saw the rice until I stretched the window and then I saw the pile.I have put it into favourites so I can play it at leisure. :D

My Dad knew a man in China who could live on 1 grain of rice a day. He never did divulge the secret.

Just perfected it when he died.
