That seems a better deal than Van Meuwen were doing a few days ago where it was 1p + £3.96 postage for just a similar Magnolia This one - now expired.

Don't forget that if you buy via Topcashback you'll get 12.12% cashback on that £5.60 P&P, and that 69p can be exchanged for 72p's worth of Tesco Clubcard Points, which can be exchanged for (@ 4x) £2.88 in Rewards Vouchers which might make this deal even more attractive.

Hmmm ... no indication of what variety that I can see? or the pot size? (if its a 9cm pot it will be ages before the plant makes a decent size ...) and delivery by October 2013 (might be tomorrow of course ... but usually they say if delivery is "immediate"

Dunno about anyone else but I have had Tree Paeonies from these offers before and they have taken years to get to even a small plant. Might be that I haven't loved them enough of course ...

          Ordered!

I love magnolias, and hopefully even if they are small, they will reward me in years to come.

£5.60 all in for all three of those - not much to gamble really, and in fairness to T&M I have been generally happy with the stuff I have got from them so far.

Thanks for posting the link, as I didn't get that email (although did get a 'we miss you, here is a fiver' one which I will use for Dahlias come payday)

I am tempted to buy these too - but agree with Kristen - from experience, special offer plants are generally quite small and need lots of TLC and years to get to a decent size. I have a blueberry bush I bought on offer last year - it arrived with 2 small branches, one of which had snapped almost at the base and the other wasn't doing much. I kept it in the greenhouse over winter and the one branch has leafed up and is growing well.

Ah well, I'll give it a shot and see how we go - to be honest, even if I end up only with the magnolia I will be happy for the money.

I'll try and remember to post back when they arrive :)

Well, they arrived today and not one of them was the plants that were originally offered - instead they sent 2 x Tree Peonies (Rockii) and 1 x Hibiscus Sugared Almond.

As they are bareroot, they are soaking in a bucket overnight to plant out tomorrow - any tips on what sort of locations these are looking for?
