Hello all, I noticed these white creatures as tipping out a failed overwintering plant. I have had a go at Googling them but still no real joy. Are they Ladybird lavae.. no brown head. I have seen these many times before in pots amongst the roots. Should I feed them to the sparrows or lovingly look after them. Advise please.

They are vine weevil Hans. You've got to them just before they hatch out to beetles. Make sure you get rid of them to the birds or fish or just stamp on them - they are awful things that will eat your plants from the roots and the plants just keel over. There is a link on here about them just search for vine weevil . Good luck - they are B----- to get rid of once they've got a hold and these particular ones certainly have.

Heres some I found a week or two back in three pots. The plants were finished.
    The compost was binned.
Looking at your picture they seem to be slightly further on with a few legs started to grow.
    Nasty little critters
