You have no idea how thrilled I am to see you post this!!!!

We had two resident cats (Moxie and Echo) when we adopted Ozzy the dog. Sadly it was too much for Moxie to take and he said his mortal goodbye :cry3:

My boys have been very unforgiving about that. But, in recent weeks, I have been coaxing Echo back into the down stairs with crab stix. Mr Mum and I had to leave very suddenly last Sunday and didn't return until early hours Thursday - leaving my boys with Echo and Ozzy.

That equals six months under the same roof.

We have now reached a point where Echo will enter the kitchen (for crab stix), Ozzy will lie between the dining room and kitchen door under the "leave it!" command.

Your post has inspired me that, if we keep to a slowly-slowly-catchy-monkey approach, we too can enjoy a photo such as yours ... in time ;)

So, Pal ... how did you achieve it!!!????

PS: Rusty and Max are beautiful!!!!

Mum,Rusty was Mum in laws and we took him in when she passed over. He always did a runner when folk visited but Mrs Pal is a childminder and he soon became bomb proof....Max is our sons dog and Max has had to live with us for well over a year , Rusty eventually accepted the sniffing and odd lick and now they even share a water bowl but he is now the 'the boss'.
      Let them sort things out:)
BTW...Max, as should all dogs be, is the last in the pecking order.

Thank you, Pal; most reassuring :dbgrtmb:

Oz and Echo have advanced to "sniffing" (not quite my idea of a handshake and how-do-you-do but very much in *their* keeping :heehee: ) We have reached the "communal water bowl stage", so, thanks again, you have given me the hope I've been looking for :ccheers:
