            Thanks both of you. :blue thumb: I haven't seen the plant and the friend sent the photos.

            Although it looks similar to Pete's one, it looks even more like Silver Surfer's one to me.

            In the photo, and Silver Surfer's, the red petals look like wings. In Pete's they look more cup shaped. :love30: :)

            I've just looked for the common name of Cuphea llavea and it's 'Tiny Mice' because the red petals look a bit like the ears of a mouse. :biggrin:

              I've had Tiny Mice several times, love them. Grew them from seed this year but it was a poor show! :frown:

                Sorry I forgot to give common names.
                Which include...Bat-Face Cuphea, St. Peter's Plant, Tiny Mice, Bunny Ears.

                Apparently they come from Mexico where they are shrubby perennials.
