Hi folks have just joined this site as I wish to learn about gardening in the UK. I have recently retired and emmigrated from New Zealand so have a lot of learing to do about growing in the UK.
Good evening Kiwihotdog and welcome to Britain and the site. You do realise you are the wrong side of Offa`s dyke?:D:D
I had to google to see what you were talking about, I am actually also the wrong side of Hadrians Wall, thanks for the welcome.
Welcome Kiwihotdog. Forget Offa's Dyke or Hadrians Wall, I'd say you're on the wrong side of the PLANET! I'm intrigued to know why someone would want to emigrate from New Zealand to the UK when thousands of people are doing just the opposite every year. A few tips on gardening in the UK: Whatever you grow, something will try to eat it. The weather will invariably do the opposite of what you want it to. All new houses in the UK are now built with a garden the size of a large matchbox, it's compulsory. Only kidding :WINK1: You'll find UK gardeners are a very friendly and sociable bunch, always willing to give help and advice. Enjoy your garden and welcome to the country and to GC.
