I was really hoping to carch our resident robin, but the blighter seems to have deserted us for the time being

The penalty I had to pay before taking those shots was cleaning Mrs W's kitchen window inside and out:dh:

The bird table is mounted just outside the window and only about 2 feet from where I set up the camera. I use a remote release on the camera so that I can stand well back in the kitchen and not disturb the birdies. Avoiding reflections taking pics through the glass can be a bit difficult at some angles of the sun, but this morning things were just about perfect
All great fun (I took about 150 pics to get a half doz decent ones) but it doesn't half get in the way of serious gardening.

 

Garden can wait when you come up with pictures like that Dave...

Excellent pics Dave, i know what you mean about photographing birds getting in the way, and not just gardening..... i seem to have been doing that a lot lately :lollol:

 

Great pics Dave blue tits are always in the gardens but not so much are the coal tit you have taken I have a digital camera and I am going to find out if that has a remote release like you have or some kind of timer I might ask you for some advice on that as I am into birds myself many thanks
