    HI All
I moved in to this new build jusy over a year ago,and last year just ran a strip border down the lengthof the wall 40ft and the adjoining 25ft fence ,
Now my perrenials are starting to grow and looking for more growing room.my garden is 15ft deep on the one edge (drive side) going to 25ft on the fence side,
I was thinking of starting at the drive side and gradually getting deeper to the fence side in a sort of scalloped edge and then widening down the fence aswell ,does anyone have any design inspiration. http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn74/pamsdish/MAY 2008/19ae1535.jpg

Hi Pamsdish, your border definatley needs to be wider, your plan sounds good :thumb: but try not to make your edges too scalloped, sweeping curves are better :thumb: Have fun...

Widen that border! Less grass to cut as well when you do that too!

    Hi All
Iwas thinking big sweeping scallops perhaps only 3 across the 40ft starting small and ending big, the idea is to remove some of the grass as it takes an age to cut ,and i dont want straight lines as they have to be kept sharp,
but what down the side?, that will have to be the same width all the way down. and it does narrow to 12ft against the house ,where it comes up against the porch and path

so what i have decided is a rockery in the corner ,i wll go about 6ft deep and taper the edges round so it gradually narrows to the house and across to the gates :thmb:

Sounds good Pam. A good focal point will look great.
