Wev'e Decided to start the front garden, Its a massive job, every plant tree and shrub is coming out, There's a horrible cracked concrete drive, wood fencing, and a Huge tree in the corner thats covered in Ivy:( and the grass doesen't grow under it.... A couple of pics to show you how horrible it all is...

And The Tree.. Hub phoned the council yesterday to see if we can Cut the tree down, They said they would let us know within 30 Days.. Anyway a council official knocked on the door this morning and said we can do what we like with it as its our own home, We just weren't sure if there was some sort of order on it (p.o.something) which he informed us, there wasn't :) Brilliant..
The tree has to come out as wer'e building a wall round the garden, and id rather it came down now rather than later for the nesting birds.. So hopefully the work will begin in the next few weeks, weather permitting and im not looking forward to the mess :D

    Good luck with your project.
Looking at that tree and all that alien growth I reckon its a good thing you are considering removing it!

Hi Paul, I was suprised at the price too, but the stump and roots arent being removed, were going to build a raised bed in that corner, I suppose that makes a diference?

When we got our front garden landscaped two yrs ago into 4000 but that included taking out connifers and pampass then taking out grass .Taking out slab path and handrail .

Supply of purple slate chips and skye marble chips relaying stone path supply of new shrubs and building a raised bed.

    And I love it .

New shrubs starting to mature now.

And I can also have some containters in different places.

    Good luck Dee.

Oooh another exciting project! I like your front garden now, but I'm sure it'll look even better - especially without the tree!

I'm surprised you're not going to give the wall building a go yourself!

Can't wait for the updated pictures! :yho:
