My front garden has been getting on my nerves for a few years now. About 8 years ago I put weed fabric down with gravel over the top. I put a few Heathers, Hebe in and there was Crocosmia already in there, which have ran riot. As I have a skip at the moment I decided to rip it all out.

    Before.

After I ripped it out I dug over the front border, added some chicken pellet manure and a couple of bags of compost. I couldn't do the long border as we were going out a and my back was killing. I have some perennials to go in and will fill on the gaps with the annuals I have sown.

It won't take long to get it back into shape Rusty but don't do your back in - in the process. :)

My back is ok today. I slathered it in ibuprofen gel last night, it's a bit tight in places, but I will not have time to do anymore until Friday afternoon so I will have a few days rest.
