Forecast to be going down to 1 deg :yikes:here Sat night/Sun morning, going to be loads of frosted spuds due to people not watching forecasts, happens most years after unseasonable sunshine brings them on.

@Scrungee I was just going to put the same warning on. Lots of annuals bought over the holiday weekend will have been planted out this week, mid May is the earliest I plant annuals out.

Improvised a shelter for the Dahlias in pots and stuffed everything possible inside the blowaway greenhouse. A sheet of plastic will not do anything temperaturewise, but at least they are sheltered from the wind and potential hails/sleet.

Fingers crossed that this will just man the tender growth up rather than kill it.

            Go, Dahlias, GO! :yay:

No frost forecast here but we don't have anything outside that requires protection. All that is either in the greenhouse or under cover.

No frost here either. We haven't had a frost since January.

3 Deg C in my garden this morning, a degree or so lower around edge of village.

Around 6:00 am tomorrow morning with clear skies and light wind from the North is going to be very cold.

Put the stove and fire on this morning, looking forward to warmer weather eliminating the need to clear the ash, light and keep feeding both up twice a day each, around 700 fires between mid Sept to early May, but heating hasn't been on other than in bathroom.

Sun shine and showers here. The wind when it blows is quite fresh.
