Frost got my hydrangeas :(

      Two of mine were bitten by the frost. The worst of the two I have trimmed off the purple/brown stems back down to the fresh looking parts. The other one, I'm leaving alone for the time being.
      Not sure if that is the right thing to do or not hence only trimming one of them.

        Snorky, I would wait a while.....just a couple of weeks or so....let the new foliage develop then "tidy" out the affected leaves :)

          Blooming frost got some of my stuff too. Rodgersia is looking sad, all the new growth on the Grisellinia hedge ....and :yikes: my bestest favourite Persicaria Red Dragon :thud: Oh well, nature`s way of helping with the pruning I suppose :dunno:

              These plants will buck up in a week or so (as Verdun said) I think if it is just the soft new growth that is frosted, a little sunshine and time will sort them out. :)

                Some of the leaves of mine are the same & the inner tiny flower buds on my lace cap have blackened :sad:
