    I wonder if you can ID this fruit tree for my friend, please ....

    The fruit, a solitary one as last year, is cherry shaped )sorry, I had already bitten into it when we decided to photograph it :rolleyes:) is cherry shaped but not attached with a stalk. It tastes sort of plumish which is what my brother-in-law thought it was. After Mick tasted it he threw the stone away so I couldn't photograph it.

    Spot on, pete ... the Prunus cerasifera, the Cherry Plum.
