I have been given a cherry tree and a peach tree both in containers with no lables on. What would be the best thing to do with them. Do I leave them in pots or plant out in the garden. All advice gratefully recieved. Grandchild4

Have you decide on their placing in your garden? The peach will need a warm sheltered place and as they flower before the last frosts the blossom will need protection. It could be grown in a large container so you can move it into shelter when it flowers. The other big problem with peaches can be peach leaf curl, endemic in East Anglia and really disrupts growth in young trees. Have you a greenhouse?
    Cherries are usually hardy.
Without labels you have a bit of a problem as you don't know what rootstock they have, so you won't know their ultimate size- it might be worth looking at the bases of the trees to see if they are grafted.
