I bought this fuchsia earlier this year and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced any problems regarding its hardiness.

Looking at your photo you appear to have F.magellanica "Hawkshead". Alba has a pinkish/lilac tinge to it whereas Hawkshead has a greenish tinge to it. Personally I much prefer Hawkshead.
The good news is that here in West Oxfordshire it is totally hardy for me. Where are you?

Thank you, longk. I have searched through my plant labels and you are right - it is Hawkshead.
I'm in the West Midlands and the plant is in a west facing garden, so I'm hoping all will be well.

the only thing I would suggest is a thick mulch around the bottom of the plant with bark chippings , so if we do have a bad winter and the top growth is killed, you should get re growth from the base of the plant.
