    Well where do we start!

Most are blooming or about to burst forth - a few are still thinking about it - and some may not make it.

Last year, most of the fuchsias were in pots and not realising that hardy fuchsias were only hardy if planted and established in the ground, thats where they stayed. Not that that seemed to matter much as of those in the ground, only Riccartonii survived.

    Here 'tis this evening,

Love to see your fuchsias photos Dave .

Many yrs ago when I first got interested in fuchsias checkerboard was my 1st fuchsia over the winters have lost all my fuchsias so this year have a small collection building up again.

But they are all slow to bloom another new one this year to me was Lady in Red and its so beautiful.

I have 4 fuschias this year, 3 of them courtesy of my Father in law. :)

I love this one - shrimp cocktail.... this has been amazing for weeks. I also had delta Sarah but it didn't flower as well. I think the pot was too shallow.

And this is Lady Boothby - the one that can grow tall. It's not a climber but I quite like it where it is and I hope to tie it to the trellis as it grows.

One of flowers from Delta Sarah which were so pretty...

Thanks for the pictures everyone, keep 'em coming.

The Shrimp Cocktail piccy prompted this.

One of last years pot survivors was a Shrimp Cocktail that I'd had a couple of years, but I didn't hold out much hope this year as it had died right back to soil level. However here it is now.

          Apologies for picture quality.

Goodness knows what fushia I have, but it is a real pain, but beautiful
The problem is it will NOT stop growing
Initaially thirty years ago, it was a twig lying next to a fushia on the ground
I was told if I stuck it in water it would grown roots (it did)
I stuck it in the back garden and the first summer it grew six feet, which I left
next summer it grew another six feet
When it got to 15 feet I cut it down to the roots, following summer it came back not as one but three fushias and grew to six feet
Last year after neglect it was at 15 feet high again, which I cut down to the soil
OMG it is back again thicker than ever

After this summer, I intend to dig it totally out I hope, never to see it again
it is a nice plant, but I can not control it

Have to say Scotkat, I hadn't heard of the ones that you posted so far - so good old Big Brother Googly to the rescue. If the flowers are similar to those on Lady in Red, then it probably is Golden Swingtime.

My interest in Fuchsias, stemmed from when Ancient Parent could no longer do gardening.

Current list of hopefuls from various sources.

Hawkshead - only 2 from 4 plugs and they are stunted
                  Delta Sarah - ditto
Winston Churchill all 4 in the one square pot and about to flower
Shrimp Cocktail - all 4 in a round pot and flowering
Snowcap - planted out in the sunny side and starting to flower
Dollar Princess - all 4 in a round pot and flowering
Pink Galore - battered by rain and looking very sad and straggly
Display - all 4 in the one square pot and flowering
Annabel - 2 from 4 and about to flower
Devonshire Dumpling - battered by rain which broke the stalks
Checkerboard - all 4 in the one square pot and flowering
Mag. Alba - only 2 from 4 plugs and they are stunted

Brutus - was doing well, but I may have over watered it!!
Mag. Golden somefink or other - growing slowly but still small
Blackie - both doing well, the skirt does look black in some lights

Phyllis - planted out in sunny spot and it immediately dropped its flowers! But seems to have recovered and more are showing
R.A.F. - was flowering when I got it in May.
Paula Jane - love this plant, shame its not hardy
Queen Mary - plenty of leaf growth, no sign of any flowers

                  + previous survivors

Angel's Teardrops - planted out now, sporadic flowering
Hawkshead - planted out now and flowering
Shrimp Cocktail - still in its pot, need to plant out before its too late, flowering well.
Riccartonii - planted out last year and flowering well, but could do with being bushier!

                  Well you did ask!

I have a potato vine like that! Every year I cut it right back and every year it decides world domination it's the only goal! :heehee: I keep giving it another chance .... And every year it's a full days cutting back to try and sort it out. Thankfully my fuschias are quite small so far! :D

                    Grumpy!

That is an amazing list. I should have considered fuschias before as they seem to like the SW. And the flowers are so lovely.

                    I only have 4 so far... :WINK1:
