After grief from SWMBO taking my DSLT/R on holidays, I had to get a good point and shoot Boy was it good. The gps, IF you turned the camera lens down it showed a Radar pic of where you were in respect to any landmark within 1km, including 1000mm zoom lens clear as day, pin sharp pix That lasted three weeks, from date of purchase, to mid way through the holiday when the dust shutter would not close and the camera locked up On return from holiday, Amazon replaced the camera within twelve hours, then collected the old one the following day using the pre paid packaging Yesterday after not a lot of use during the year, same thing, Amazon have given me a full cash refund, and have suspended sale of the camera until stocks checked and FUJI Advised (They would not replace, just refund as it is the sixth complaint) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fujifilm-Fi...7W/ref=sr_1_39?ie=UTF8&qid=1362698149&sr=8-39 I know what is wrong The front unit that holds the dust shutter is basically made of tinfoil, If you put it in a shirt pocket it gets dented and the dust shutter can not close I now have more cash back than the cost of the same replacement I think I am going to be twice bitten thrice shy, as I really like what it has to offer, only this time buy a hard case too Unless anyone can recommend something similar Jack McH
Good to hear Amazon have responded well Jack. It's just a shame the camera wasn't up to standard. It could be third time lucky though!
Good afternoon Jack I'm sorry to hear that ,The only one that I can vouch for (Through a Friend) is the Sony Cyber shot DSC HX30V but I am not sure about the price
The Fujifilm F770exr is just my shirt pocket always ready camera My real camera and gear is the Sony DSLT It is funny how the point and shoot has a lens 1500mm, yet the SONY DSLT equivalent is £8000 and weighs four stones :-) I am checking out the Pentax PnS Along with a couple of others, non have the same focal length though Jack McH
