Fungi identification?

Does anyone know what these strange looking fungi are?

 

I think its a cup fungus (peziza) not sure on the specific strain though.

No problem, I was curious myself as i see these a lot on my allotment. Theyre apparently common in woodchips and compost.

 

Just add this as not really worth starting a new thread, but a nice fungi I spotted yesterday about 10ft up on the trunk of a yew tree.
