Does anyone know what type of mushrooms these are and whether they are edible? I collected them off my lawn. Also apart from collecting how can I get rid of them as I can't believe my lawn is the best home for them!

Could be Tufted Brittle Heads or Panaeolus, don't eat them either way. The latter may be slightly Halucinogenic.

Won't do your lawn any harm, its just part of the eco system.

I had quite a lot on my lawn a few years back. I was told not to pull them up because it spread spores. However by the following year they had completely disappeared of their own accord
