Funky Flowers

Last summer, one of my sunflowers turned "deviant"



Five flower heads on one stem!

Anyone else have deviant "funky flowers" they'd like to share?

 

Some daylilies can sometimes flower with more than the usual 3 petals and 3 sepals( called polytepal), but usually only 4 of each this flowered in my garden a couple of years ago and looks more like siamese twins

 

That is stunning!!!

 

It was a really strange summer 2011 with the heat, this rose behaved quite oddly too, its called 'Winchester Cathedral' had it in my garden around 10 years usually the flowers open 1 or 2 at a time but in 2011 they all opened at once quite a sight as these aren't small flowers , first picture shows what it would normally look like.

Is it something you've put in their water, simbad

 

Must admit to never watering them Mum ,they have to fend for themselves once they've settled in after planting, although did catch OH with the hosepipe watering the daylily bed once in summer 2011 , the daylilies get a dry seaweed food in spring and the roses get a rose feed a couple of times, in spring and summer but thats it.
