    Everyone has a favourite gadget!
My current 'go to' is my electric hot water bottle. I wouldn't be without it.
    What's yours?

I take it there is no actual water involved @Penny_Forthem? That would have been great for my bad back! I always worried that the bottle may burst and I’d have a skin graft and a bad back! I will look these up immediately!
My electric blanket is probably my favourite gadget.

Well, now you come to mention it...

When our slow cooker died, and because we had some gift vouchers for Xmas, we decided o get one of these - we may still try and repair our old slow cooker as it would give us even more flexibility, but this gadget here is one of the best things we've bought in a long, long time.

Already, I've done curry, stew, coq au vin, a full 'roast' chicken (required skin crisping under he grill at the end), and on Sunday I did a nice bit of silverside and onion veg in it. It has quite rapidly become our go-to gizmo for cooking.

When my toaster died I replaced it with a Ninja Foodi mini oven. No more digging out stuck slices, or cutting slices to fit. It can do 8 slices at once and any thickness. It has a bagel mode (toasts one side only), and also bake, roast, keep warm, air fryer and others I can't remember. I haven't used the air fryer mode as I already have one, and it will be easier to keep the Foodi clean if I don't use it. I use the bake a lot, it's great for jobs like toasting nuts when you don't want to put a full oven on.

Like @AuntyRach I assume there is no water in it - in which case, calling it an electric hot bottle is more correct.
As an aside @Penny_Forthem is it battery powered or plugged into the mains?
                      Or solar powered?

I'm old fashioned and have very little that is modern. We still have our 20+ year old gas range cooker that is used for most meals but we still use our old toasted sandwich maker. bought in 1951, made of cast iron and makes the tastiest toasted sandwiches. You can use any thickness of bread as you just squash the bread down as you close the toaster.

For some reason they come out tastier than using the modern toastie type equipment and our friends all say it is definitely tastier than any they make at home.

Just tip out the sandwich and the toaster is almost completely clean. It just needs a quick wash.

Most gadgets I use are in the kitchen

Instant read thermometer is probably the single best gadget I've every got for improving my food, or at least for cooking meat. Also useful for breads and cakes too

I love my pizza oven and Webber grill, flavours you just can't get with inside ovens. Fire is good

My Kenwood mixer makes making doughs easy, I really dislike kneading. Plus I've used it for sausage making, pasta making etc
